There is no magic formula that makes you healthy, whether is authentic or generic health.
No clear cut steps.
No foolproof, fail proof diet. Despite everything we have been told.
The answer to authentic health is so much more complicated and simple than that…
Wait, whaaa?!
I know, complicated and simple is a whole lot of contradiction, but I mean it.
Being healthy is so much simpler than you have been lead to believe, especially when you’ve spent your life on diet after diet, trying all sorts of BS to achieve that mythical paradigm of “health.”
The key to health is simply listening to your own body, tuning in, and honoring what it needs. Simple… but not easy.
You see somewhere along the line, you stopped seeing yourself as “right” and you started seeing yourself as “wrong.” Like a problem that needed to be fixed.
Somewhere along the link you started to believe that if your body differed, at all from the standard or “normal,” then you are broken. But that is simply NOT TRUE.
Your body is not wrong. There is no “normal.”
We all have different bodies, different challenges, different nuances to caring for ourselves.
That’s what makes this simple idea of listening to your body, complex. Because every single on of us is different, with different needs and wants. And tuning in to hear your specific needs, is hard work. It takes time, and care, and patience, and compassion, and a whole lot of heart.
It’s true, health is so much simpler than the diet and wellness industries have lead us to believe.
It is not a list of “good” and “bad” foods.
It is not an exercise regimen that takes up the same amount of time as a part time job.
Its honoring your body and your needs. It is tuning in and listening to what you body has to say, and letting that guide you, to optimize your individual, authentic health.
So, take heart. This is not an easy task (simple, but not easy).
Remember you are not alone and you are, most definitely, not wrong.
